Vince Zampella, Dies in an LA Traffic Collision
Vince Zampella, the mind behind the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has passed away in a vehicle crash in the state of California he was 55 years old.
Zampella's death was verified by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the development studio he co-founded.
The influential video game developer lost his life when his car crashed and caught fire on a highway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, his family, and everyone impacted by his work," an official with Electronic Arts commented.
